Nice to meet you - I'm Nicky Farmer, Owner of Think Big Recruitment.
I made a career change into Recruitment from PR & Marketing in 2004, and have been recruiting in Cape Town and Johannesburg (and more recently for Durban, Dubai and the UK) ever since.
I do things a little differently in my world of Recruitment - you see, I have always considered myself to be a Consultant rather than a Recruiter - I don't run my business (or my desk) with Sales in mind, but rather with People.
It is our belief that we work for both the client and the candidate and while it's a fine balance to tread, it's one we work hard to achieve.
Over the years, I have built very strong client relationships, not only because I listen to their needs, but I also believe that a personal/ cultural fit is as important as the technical.
My candidates and I have a good relationship, because I have always been open and honest in my communications, I try very hard to respond to every CV I receive and I keep in contact even as the years go by.
This attitude to Recruitment has given us a very good reputation in the industry, for which we are both grateful and proud. And it is one that we strive to maintain every day.

Justine has extensive experience in Retail Management, having worked with Biggie Best, Halogen International and Weylandts, both in Cape Town and in Johannesburg. Her managerial level position means she has always been responsible for the Recruitment portfolio in her companies, as well as having to mentor, motivate and performance manage where necessary.
This gives Justine a unique insight as a Recruitment Consultant, and I believe one that will benefit our clients and candidates greatly.
